My name is Julie Fink, host of Plugged in Cleveland! I'm a professional podcast producer with a big vision for community building and human connection. After working in this industry for over a decade, and editing hundreds of podcast episodes for clients,

I've always wanted to start my own podcast, use my own voice, send out my own signal...

and I'm finally doing it! Thank you for coming along for the ride :)

MY BACKGROUND

I was the Senior Producer of in-house shows and corporate content for a Cleveland-based podcast network; as well as a former Morning Show Co-Host & Mid-day Host for HOT 98.1, Carolinas' #1 Hit Music Station in Greenville, SC. I bring a unique blend of both worlds, broadcasting and podcasting, to the show. I am currently a full-time Independent Producer in Aurora, Ohio - specializing in Sound Design, ProTools Editing & Storytelling.

My Mission

I am completely re-imagining the local community bulletin.

I’m not just reading a list of dates and names into a microphone...

I am building a power grid for the community...

Where you are the generators.

There is so much TALENT, GENEROSITY, and LOVE in Cleveland

and I hope to provide and outlet for you to plug into and get energized.

Plugged in Cleveland is a life-long dream of mine to merge my love of traditional radio formatting with hyper-local podcasting. Think of it as taking the warm, conversational, community-centered vibe of a local morning show, but stripping away the corporate structure, strict commercial clocks, and the pressure to appeal to a massive, generic broadcast footprint.

I am looking to create my world from within and broadcast it outward… and anyone who resonates with my signal can join in the adventures!

Plugged In CLE -- Bigger Vision

My starting point is “The Local Community Bulletin” podcast – where I will be reading off local bulletin posts and bringing together creatives and their creations AND spotlighting the best of our communities. It’s a Creation Station, a Connector & Generator ALL IN ONE!

Then, my ultimate goal, is to invite in locals for:

“Hot Topics” discussions (giving a voice to locals who have something to say!)
Conduct in-studio interviews about health, healing, community & creating (and more!)
Go on location for interviews (local farms, businesses, backyard bbq's, block parties, etc.)
Incorporate STORYTELLING as my primary focus, with short & long form human interest pieces
Bring back my favorite radio segments! (Giveaways, call-ins, highlighting "The Best Of" our Communities... the People!)
