We Have Your Back!

Sometimes, life throws a curveball, a big transition, or just a heavy season,

and carrying it alone is too much. Whether someone is navigating a tough recovery,

launching a brave new chapter, or just going through a valley, an Uplift Meet brings a handful of

neighbors together to pool their energy, share a meal, offer a listening ear, or chip in on tangible needs.

We don’t let our people slip through the cracks.

We gather, we surround, and we lift them back up together.

Our society has major problems with isolation, separation and struggle.

Our phones, news feeds and TV are full of fear-ridden messages with a brace for impact mentality that we have to survive this world entirely on our own.

I hope that Uplift Meets provide an opportunity to weave back together the communal threads that have been torn apart.

Whether it’s dropping off fresh-pressed juices for a neighbor going through chemo, helping to tweak a resume for someone who just lost their job, chess at the park, or stepping up to help a parent with childcare,

this is where we show up!

Epidemic

My Story

I am 43 years old and in my adult lifetime, I've lost five jobs + two that I had to quit because they were the wrong fit + two major project losses. I had to live with my parents on and off over the years. I suffered from burnout, financial hardships, nervous system dysregulation, depression, isolation and loneliness.

I got knocked down quite a bit and became less resilient with each punch...

But I kept getting back up, despite how hard it was.

I think job loss is one of the most stressful events in a person's life.

My Why. I am organizing Uplift Meets as one way to help bridge the Serengeti-sized gap in trauma & stress recovery for people who experience difficult and challenging times; who often get stuck, feel discouraged & freeze/shutdown.

Healing happens through community, friends, family, food, creating, making money and movement. I hope to create monthly opportunities for people to share their gifts, resources and help each other out... and light that spark for fellow Clevelanders in need!
